Flourish produce, an organic farm in Cambridgeshire, was founded in 2017 by Calixta and her trusty steeds Bill and Ben. What initially began as a two-acre operation has expanded to 80 acres of field production and 1.8 acres of indoor production. Calixta has stayed true to her original values of growing a lot of diverse produce whilst abiding by organic standards.

Her passion for growing “weird and wonderful stuff” developed whilst working for farms in the United States that catered for chefs. They had a variety of unusual crops from across the globe which gravitated Calixta towards growing 675 varieties on her home soil. This diversity is unusual for a farm of this scale; however, range provides economic security come rain or shine. The mix of produce planted together creates a diverse environment, increasing biodiversity and encouraging growth and long-term sustainability of the farm.
